Peveril Machinery solves a problem for a concrete products manufacturer.
A concrete fencing manufacturer was experiencing difficulty in filling a twin holding hopper mounted on his volumetric mixer with aggregate. Because of the height he was only able to feed it with a high reach forklift truck fitted with a scoop bucket, and consequently was getting spillage of material resulting in waste as well as creating a risk situation.
Peveril Machinery were approached and a site visit was arranged to assess how best the problem could be solved.
On assessing the requirements we suggested using an inclined conveyor fitted with a chevron belt and a low level feed boot that could be fed without spillage, and the head of the conveyor being fitted with a diverter chute for discharging aggregate directly into either compartment of the mixer holding hopper. This suggestion was discussed with our customer who asked for a quotation and specification to be prepared for his approval, following which the order was placed.
A further site visit was then made and accurate measurements taken for siting the equipment so that a drawing could be prepared for final approval before manufacture and a delivery date agreed for installation.
The plant was delivered on time with installation and commissioning completed over 2 days to the full satisfaction of our customer.
Twin Diem mixers provide solution for a precast product manufacturer.
Peveril was approached by a consultant who had been commissioned by a client to design a new manufacturing facility for producing precast products, requiring pan mixers, feed hoppers and conveyors, plus a hopper for discharging into moulds on two vibrating tables.
After visiting our premises and discussing the plant requirements to meet the anticipated production, the consultant was confidant that Peveril could meet the specification to the client’s satisfaction and supply and install within the required timescale.
At this initial stage a suggested layout plan was produced for approval, and following final approval by the client a full quotation setting out the specification was supplied which was accepted and an order placed.
The installation included 2 x DIEM DZ300V pan mixers with an output of 300 litres, each discharging into wet mix hoppers mounted over two vibrating tables on independent production lines.
In addition a number of trolleys were supplied to carrying the empty moulds to the vibrating tables for filling and transporting the filled moulds to the curing area.
After curing and demoulding the trolleys return the moulds to the vibrating tables for refilling completing the production cycle.
The whole project was completed and installed within the contracted timescale and was overseen by Peveril personnel throughout from the initial enquiry to final installation.
